02 Field Biologist Interns
Under the supervision of the Programme Executant Jengi TRIDOM & Park Assistant BoumbaBek
Location: Ngoyla and Yokadouma
Duration: One (01 year)
Department Mission:
WWF CCO’s mission is to ensure the sustainable management of natural resources in Southeast Cameroon through participatory management practices involving all stakeholders and contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of local populations.
Main Functions
The Field Biologist Interns will be responsible for collecting all bio-monitoring data in the field in collaboration with the MINFOF team and local assistants (monitoring of large and medium-sized mammals, monitoring of wildlife use of clearings, monitoring of wildlife using camera traps, collection of data on human- wildlife conflicts, mapping of elephant corridors, etc.)
In this capacity, he/she works under the direct technical supervision of the PNBB Jengi-TRIDOM Park Assistant, and to some extent the Program Executant for related activities:
• Produce periodic ToR and a budget for field activities;
• Ensure the implementation of the continuous ecological monitoring system in the targeted clearings of the PNBB with the collection of data following scientific protocols;
• Participate in the collection of data on human- wildlife conflicts to update the Jengi TRIDOM program database;
• Produce concise and well-written field reports regularly;
• Participate, under the supervision of the PNBB Park Assistant, in the organization and management of the appropriate use of the bio-monitoring database and related tools and ensure the proper storage of field materials.
Profile
Required qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or engineering degree in one or more of the following areas: Forestry and Wildlife or other related specialization;
• Minimum of six (06) months’ experience in biomonitoring field activities;
• Strong interest in nature conservation.
Skills and competencies required
• Willingness and ability to work in a remote area with little supervision;
• Field person: Enthusiastic about long missions in the forest under difficult and remote conditions;
• Excellent physical condition;
• Ability to adapt, flexibility;
• Demonstrated knowledge of GPS and SIG related software, Cybertracker/SMART and related tools;
• Good knowledge of camera trapping, wildlife observation and photo analysis
• Demonstrated statistical and data analysis skills (Excel, other relevant software);
• Ability to manage databases;
• Computer literacy and knowledge of data analysis software;
• Excellent writing skills.

02 Investigators
The main objective is to recruit two investigators who will work directly with the PhD student coordinating this study under the supervision of the Congo Basin Impact Monitoring Coordinator. These investigators will be tasked with collecting socio-economic data in the targeted areas of TRIDOM-Cameroon using qualitative and quantitative research methods adapted to local contexts.
3. Deliverables
The expected deliverables from the investigators include completed questionnaires, field reports, supervision forms, qualitative notes or observations, and audio/video recordings.
4. Desired profile
The investigators should meet the following qualifications:
– Hold a Bachelor’s (BAC+3) or Master’s (BAC+5) degree in Social Sciences, Forestry, Agro-economics, or any similar discipline;
– Have excellent spoken and written proficiency in French and/or English;
– Have conducted similar studies in the past (provide references of previous work);
– Have good experience working in the study area (TRIDOM-Cameroon);
– Be highly proficient in socio-economic data collection tools and methods;
– Knowledge of local languages is an asset (e.g., Bulu, Baka, etc.).
5. Applications file composition
The application file (in PDF format) must be submitted in French or English and should include:
– A signed cover letter addressed to the National Director of WWF Cameroon;
– A signed CV;
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree;
– A valid photocopy of the National Identity Card or passport.
6. Place of Execution
The investigators will work in the Cameroonian part of TRIDOM, mainly in the Eastern region comprising the departments of Boumba -et-Ngoko and Haut-Nyong.
7. Duration
The investigation is scheduled to last two (2) weeks from the date of signing the contract.
8. Supervision and reporting
The investigators in this data collection will be supervised by the PhD Student in charge of this study at WWF- Cameroon
Information Technology Officer
For our Country Office in Cameroon, we are looking for a dynamic and committed Information Technology Officer.

Line Manager: Finance & Administration Manager
Dotted line report: Manager, Digital Transformation, Congo Basin
Supervises: Information Technology Assistant
Location: Yaounde
Duration: Two (02) years renewable
Mission of the Department
Information technology is the basis for communication, data management/security, and information sharing and learning in all aspects of conservation delivery and each department. The IT Department is aiming at a cost-effective IT system to ensure effective performance.
Major Functions
a. Ensure that all WWF-CCO staff use Technology Platforms, Digital innovation and Data & AI Solutions provided to improve operations and efficiently use IT resources;
b. Provide IT Delivery and Support to the Yaoundé Central Office and field offices.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Ensure WWF Cameroon Country Office delivery and Support.
a. Implement improvements to WWF CCO’s IT Infrastructure and services to ensure efficient operations in main and field offices;
b. Facilitate Digital Maturity implementation in CCO according to the Digital
Transformation Plan for Congo Basin;
c. Provide technical support and resolve day-to-day issues;
d. Ensure Local network services, Digital solutions in place, Internet connectivity perform reliably to minimize downtime;
Profile:
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience in the position of effective IT support and administration in a medium to large company.
Required Skills and Competencies
• Proven experience with Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (LAN, Wi-Fi).
• Experienced with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French;
