Anti-Doping Officer

Responsibilities:

The Officer of Doping Control Unit is responsible for implementing and administrating Anti-Doping protocols and procedures. This role involves organizing testing and conferences, ensuring compliance with FIFA Anti-Doping Regulations and WADA Code regulations, and promoting education and awareness around Anti-Doping Matters in Football in Africa.

 

Testing Operations:

  • Organizing in-competition and out-of-competition doping tests per FIFA Anti-Doping Regulations and WADA Code.
  • Ensure that the samples have been delivered to WADA Accredited Laboratories according to standard procedures to ensure integrity and chain of custody.
  • Results management

 

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of testing activities, including sample collection and results.
  • Prepare and submit reports on testing outcomes and related activities to the Head of the Anti-Doping Unit.

 

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all testing procedures comply with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Code and FIFA Anti-Doping regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in Anti-Doping regulations and guidelines.

Stakeholder Education:

  • Assist in the development and delivery of educational programs for athletes, coaches, and National Associations regarding Anti-Doping practices and policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders regarding doping control procedures.

 

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with CAF Doping Control Officers to ensure efficient operations.
  • Liaise with external agencies, laboratories, and sporting organizations as needed.

Result Management:

  • Gather relevant information of the suspected Anti-Doping violations.
  • Work closely with the CAF disciplinary Board
  • Follow up on the decisions of any Anti-Doping violations as directed.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to the evaluation and enhancement of doping control procedures and practices.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with Anti-Doping trends and best practices.

 

Requirements (profile):

  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or a related field preferred.
  • Additional Studies in Football (ex: FIFA Masters, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in Anti-Doping, sports administration, or a related field is advantageous but not required.
  • Familiarity with Anti-Doping, FIFA regulations and the WADA Code is preferred.
  • Fluent in English and/or French language both written and spoken is a must; command of any other CAF language (English, French & Arabic) language is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Data Management, Email and communications tools, Document Management, and reporting tools.
  • Doping Control Software: Familiarity with specialized software used for doping control testing (ADAMS and MODOC).
  • Flexibility to travel as some international travels may be required for testing and educational outreach.

Broadcast Services Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of CAF’s Broadcast Strategy
  • Build excellent relationships with Broadcasters
  • Planning and Communication with CAF media rights partners.
  • Supervision of CAF media rights partners.
  • Lead Booking Services
  • Liaising with the Operations and Sales teams to ensure that all booked services are delivered to the satisfaction of media rights partners.
  • Manage daily inquiries of Broadcasters.
  • Lead Broadcast Services before and during CAF events.
  • Assist Broadcasters in overseeing the smooth running and delivery of projects.
  • Explore and research new business opportunities
  • Compile pre-tournament Broadcast Services Plan
  • Compile Post-tournament Broadcast Services Report
  • Manage the planning and implementation of all aspects of the host broadcast production and operations for CAF tournaments and events, including but not limited to:
    • Drafting, negotiation, execution, and implementation of supplier contracts.
    • Budget management.
    • Assist and support Local Organizing Committees in delivering all broadcast infrastructure as per CAF’s requirements.

 

  • Event management:
  • Oversee the delivery of CAF competition(s) in the planning phase and on-site.

 

  • Project management:
  • Booking Services in Centralized and decentralized events
  • Manage service providers and handle tenders and procurement procedures when necessary.
  • Contribute to specific working groups within the Commercial Division and across CAF.
  • Bring added value by contributing innovative ideas to further enhance CAF’s approach to broadcast production management.

 

Requirements (profile):

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in business or sports management, or similar.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a Broadcast Services Role
  • Previous experience in a Client Servicing role
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English and/or French language both written and spoken; command of any of the other CAF official languages (English, French or Arabic) is a plus.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Willingness to work event-time hours during competitions.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and other modern IT tools.

Senior Procurement Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the procurement department and develop the procurement strategy in liaison with the Finance Director.
  • Collaborate with vendors and other departments and manage the tendering and procurement processes in line with the organization’s procurement policies and procedures.
  • Build relationships and negotiate with suppliers and vendors in the best interest of the organization.
  • Prepare and review in direct coordination with legal team, new contracts, amendments, termination letters, and all other types of contractual writings and notices to all vendors, service providers, and contractors.
  • Submit procurement reports on a bi-monthly basis to the Finance Director.
  • Prepare expenditures forecasting reports to the Finance Director.
  • Control the budget for each tender and promote a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
  • Demonstrate cost-saving initiatives in the procurement process, but not compromising technical requirements and service standards.
  • Review tender documents with requesting departments, while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the scope, specifications, and all related documents necessary for initiating the tendering process.
  • Manage the vendor onboarding process and update the database.

Requirements (profile):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Procurement.
  • A certified purchasing professional with qualifications in procurement (Eg CIPS).
  • Minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience in a procurement role.
  • 5 years of managerial experience in procurement and vendor management with people management skills.
  • Demonstrable experience on the tendering process and vendor management
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and other modern IT tools.
  • Fluent in English Language both written and spoken; and command of any of the other CAF official languages (French and/or Arabic).
  • Excellent communication skills, capability of working across departments and adapting to different environments.
  • A collaborator and team player.
  • Ability to engage and interact with diverse stakeholders from different cultural backgrounds.
