Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Yaoundé
The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Yaoundé is seeking to hire one employee (m/f/d) each, to commence at the beginning of September 2026 and at the beginning of October 2026 respectively, to fill positions in the Legal and Consular Department with a focus on visa and immigration law, as well as passport law.
These are full-time positions with 40 working hours per week.
The role will include, among other things, the following duties:

Receipt, electronic recording, and preliminary review of visa applications

Acceptance and electronic recording of passport applications

Provision of information — including of a legal nature — and advice in person, by telephone, and by e-mail
-
Communication with authorities within Germany
-
Preparation of certificates and legalizations
-
File management and archiving activities
-
Preparation of cashier’s orders
If required, deployment is also possible in all other areas of the Legal and Consular Department.
Your profile should include the following qualifications:

Excellent German language skills in spoken and written form at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference

Very good French and English language skills in spoken and written form at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference

Good knowledge of common Office applications and willingness to learn specialist IT programs
-
Organizational skills and willingness to work independently
You should also be reliable, resilient, and flexible. Due to the diverse range of activities in a multicultural team, we place particular emphasis on high social competence as well as intercultural competence.
Employment is conditional upon the submission of a police clearance certificate, a medical examination, and the result of a security clearance check.
