For the first time, it opens a dialogue between historical facts, traditional objects and contemporary art dealing with the period of Imperial Germanyโ€™s violent intrusion into the territory of Cameroon.

From a wide range of perspectives, the exhibition examines the new rules and codes introduced under German colonial rule, which have had a lasting impact on the social, cultural and economic fabric of Cameroon to this day. The exhibition highlights the changes, particularly in terms of their significance for Cameroonian societies and from the perspective of power. Based on the need to develop a shared understanding of Cameroonian history, the project also aims to encourage a wide-ranging public debate which, in addition to the exhibition, will be supported by participatory workshops aimed at different target groups and age groups);
