The African Wildlife Foundation is an international conservation organization working in large landscapes across the African continent. The organisation works to ensure wildlife and wildlands thrive in modern Africa through a multi-faceted approach to conservation strategies for wildlife, wildlands, and people.

In partnership with the Ministry of Forests and Wildlife (MINFOF), AWF has secured funding of €5,000,000 (€4,500,000 from the European Union and €500,000 from AWF co-funding) for implementing the action “Natura Sud-Est – Improving the Management Effectiveness of the Dja Wildlife Reserve” within the framework of the Green Landscape South/Southeast Cameroon (PVSSEC) program. This program aims to enhance the management effectiveness of the Dja Wildlife Reserve at the landscape level.            Launched at the World Conservation Congress in September 2021, NaturAfrica is an international partnership initiative by the EU’s Directorate-General for International Partnerships (INTPA) that supports biodiversity conservation in Africa through an innovative, people-centered approach. With a total budget of €310 million (2021-2027), NaturAfrica prioritizes development actions in landscapes identified in “Larger than Elephants: Inputs for an EU strategic approach to wildlife conservation in Africa” (2016; updated edition in progress). For this purpose, AWF invites consultants to submit proposals.

Any clarification requests must be submitted in writing to AWF no later than 3 working days before the proposal submission deadline. AWF will respond to all inquiries from consultants at least 2 working days before the submission deadline. Please note that any expenses incurred by consultants during the preparation and submission of their proposals will not be reimbursed.

By submitting a proposal, you accept to receive notification of the outcome of the procedure by electronic means. Such notification shall be deemed to have been received by you on the date upon which the contracting authority sends it to the electronic address you referred to in your offer.

If you decide not to submit a proposal, we would be grateful if you could inform us in writing, stating the reasons for your decision.

Section 2: Description of services required

The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) is seeking competent Consultants to carry out the baseline study for the action entitled “Natura Sud-Est – improving the management effectiveness of the Dja faunal reserve”.

The Term of reference is attached to this RFP to provide more details on the specifications of the service

Section 3:  Submission instructions

3.1 Technical proposal

The Technical proposal should consist of:

  • A technical proposal, including a budget, work plan, and proposed timeline.
  • CVs of the key team members involved in the study.
  • Proof of experience in carrying out similar works in the past (attach sample reports)
    • Financial Proposal:

Detailed cost breakdown, including consultancy fees, travel expenses, and other related costs.

 

 

  • Administrative offer:
Document to be submitted with the proposal Status- to be completed by the consultant. (Please tick if the required document has been submitted)
Copy of tax registration – Compulsory at the time of proposal submission
Copy of company registration –Compulsory at the time of proposal submission
Copies of Company Director(s) ID – Compulsory before contract signature
Attestation of Localisation- Compulsory at the time of proposal submission
Bank information:

– Attestation of Bank Account

-Certificate of non-bankruptcy -Compulsory at the time of proposal submission

Attestation of fiscal conformity:  dated not less than three months from date of tender submission-Compulsory at the time of proposal submission

  • Technical offer-75%
  • Competitive pricing-25%
