The Goethe-Institut is the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany, active worldwide. Our objectives are to promote the German language abroad, promote international cultural cooperation, and convey a comprehensive image of Germany.
As part of the renovation and restructuring of its premises at Rue Joseph Mballa Eloumden in Bastos, Yaoundé, the Goethe-Institut Kamerun will be incorporating a user-friendly cafeteria as a meeting place for its clients, visitors, and colleagues. The cafeteria should offer snacks, sandwiches, cold and hot drinks, and meal options, if possible, with a German flair and an atypical touch. It will be able to provide coffee breaks during seminars and services for cultural events.
The cafeteria offer must consider the diversity of the clientele and their varied purchasing capacities. The cafeteria must be open during Goethe-Institut opening hours, Monday to Friday 8 am to 6 pm and Saturday 10 am to 3 pm, as well as during one-off events: cultural events from 6 pm to 11 pm and one-off activities on Saturdays.
The Goethe-Institut will provide the space with tables and chairs for approximately 25 people. The service provider must bring their technical equipment (e.g., fridge, microwave, etc.) and cutlery. The space will not be suitable for cooking.
The space will be made available for free. A contribution to water and electricity use will be requested. Details will be discussed individually, depending on the bids submitted.
Interested service providers must submit the following documents (preferably in a multi-page PDF document):
- Presentation of a cafeteria concept for the Goethe-Institut as a cultural and educational centre
- Presentation of the different menus offered by the cafeteria
- Proposed price list
- Proposal for coffee breaks
- Up-to-date administrative and tax files
- references
Proposals must be sent on or before the 23rd of March 2025 to the address bewerbung-yaounde@goethe.de with the subject ‘‘Cafeteria.’’
