Call for projects for a mural
The Goethe-Institut is the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany with a global reach. With 158 institutes in 98 countries, it promotes knowledge of German abroad, encourages international cultural exchange, and conveys an image of contemporary Germany.
As part of the renovation of its premises in the Bastos neighborhood of Yaoundé, the Goethe-Institut is seeking an artist to create a mural in the youth section of its library. The mural should contribute to enhancing the artistic, (re)creative atmosphere and be suitable for a young audience (aged 3 to 15). The dimensions of the walls are approximately 350 cm x 150 cm and 400 cm x 75 cm (see illustration below).
This call is open to painters, illustrators, graphic designers, and graffiti artists. The painting must be completed between December 5, 2025, and December 12, 2025.
Interested artists are invited to send their proposals by email to bewerbung-yaounde@goethe.de with the subject line “Library mural” by November 25th, 2025, at the latest.
