Job Description

  • Ensure connection of validated sites to the Grid network.
  •  Ensure connection of validated sites to the AER network.
  • Repair of Faulty LV/MV Grid Connections.
  • Supervision and Validation of SBCs works on Rehabilitation and New Connections
  • Track Daily Diesel consumption on all IHS grid-connected sites through performance evaluation of all new Grid/AER systems implemented.
  • Review and validation of ENEO/AER surveys for new connections and repairs.
  • Presentation of monthly reports related to grid and AER systems
  • Liaison between IHS ENEO and AER regions.
  • Ensure respect for HSE and compliance processes for SBCs staff.
  • Ensure connexion of maximum off-grid sites to grid network (ENEO).
  • Ensure the connection of a maximum off-grid site to the rural solar network (AER).
  • Reduce the delay of new connections within one month for Extension Works while LV lines should be established within 2 weeks of quotation payment.
  • Ensure no Grid /AER sites are disconnected due to unpaid bills.
  • Ensure no Grid/AER connected site is working on the generator for more than 48h for LV faults that can be resolved by our utility engineers.
  • Identification of faults within 2 days of Grid fault and working with SBC where needed to restore connection not more than two weeks (for LV issue) and three weeks (for MV issue) of PO issuance.
  • Ensure no VIP site has a grid fault that can be fixed directly by the Engineer for more than 72 hours.
  • Undertake preventive measures to minimize MTBF to a minimum of 12 months for all connected and working sites.
  • Ensure a monthly diesel reduction of a minimum 5.000L
  • Reporting deadline to be respected. Data accuracy 90%.

Qualifications

  • OMBE Certification + bachelor’s in engineering, or technical discipline.
  • Technical background with experience on the management of Grid and rural solar solutions.
  • Cost-driven individual with an eye for detail
  • Assertiveness & Goal driven 4. Computer appreciation: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc…
  • Organization and coordination.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Audit capacity.
  • Knowledge about safety and environmental standards.
