CREDIT ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Job Objectives

 

To ensure seamless processing and excellent service delivery in credit availment whilst ensuring strict adherence to bank’s credit policies.

 

Role & Responsibilities

 

 

  • Manage Credit Availment and Loan disbursement shop to ensure timely and error-free processing.

 

  • Ensure that all properly approved facilities with all terms and conditions met for Head Office availment are treated with dispatch.

 

  • Ensure proofing of accounts and clean-up of all open items.

 

  • Ensure collection of all Bank interest and fees income.

 

  • Ensure Bank Cheque are issued where stipulated by credit availment tickets.

 

  • Ensure cordial and friendly relationships with all internal customers and external and regulatory agencies such as COBAC, BEAC and External Auditors.

 

  • Attend promptly to correspondence and inquiries.

 

  • Resolve issues and challenges for better service delivery

 

  • Organize on-the-job and external training programmed to empower staff with relevant skills to enhance excellent performance.

 

  • Evolve a crop of multi-disciplinary skilled staff for the actualization of the Group objectives

 

  • Authorization of processed jobs.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

 

First degree, MBA, MSC, MA, ML and/or Professional Qualifications compulsory

 

EXPERIENCE

 

4 years relevant banking experience; 3 years non–banking but related experience

CREDIT CONTROL TEAM MEMBER – CEMAC HUB

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that approved credits are within the confines of the bank’s policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring that credit approvers comply with the credit signing limits provisions of the credit policy.
  • Reviewing all pre-disbursement/collateral conditions to ensure they are in place prior to the availment of facilities or issuance of bonds/guarantees/ISPO.
  • Processing deferral/waiver requests and ensuring that approval is duly obtained in lieu of documentation gaps.
  • Issuing bonds and guarantees/ISPOs in line with approval.
  • Others as may be directed by Management.

 

 

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Quality of Credit Review
  • Timely and accurate pre-disbursement review of approved loans
  • Level of risk awareness created in the Bank via awareness campaigns on credit documentation.
  • Compliance with all regulations and with zero tolerance for regulatory infractions and penalties;
  • Achieve maximum  <3%  NPL Ratio
  • Zero regulatory/statutory/policy infraction and regulatory penalties. (External Auditors and Regulators’ Exceptions on Credit Risk Mgt related issues)
  • Timely rendition of Management reports
  • Review of documentation to ensure complete satisfaction of conditions precedent                 (policy guidelines and regulatory provision)
  • Issuance of CACOMS and conveyance of approvals in line with approval terms and condition
  • Issuance of Bonds and Guarantees in line with approval conditions

 

 

Minimum Education Qualifications

  • University first degree
  • (BA LAW, LLM, MBA, MSC, MA, ML and/or Professional Qualifications is an advantage)

 

Work Experience

 

Legal documentation/Credit risk management

CREDIT RISK MONITORING TEAM MEMBER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Objectives

  • Coordinating and maintaining accurate and robust loss databases in the Bank in compliance with the Requirements of Basel II Accord and meet Regulatory standards for Operational Risk Capital Calculation by Financial Institutions
  • Develop and Maintain Business Environment Internal Control Factors Library (BEICFs)for Operational Risk Measurement and Management
  • Loss Reporting training interventions
  • Monitor the risk profile of UBA Cameroon its business units – via changes in Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) – and report to relevant stakeholders when risks go beyond the Group’s risk appetite/ tolerance levels
  • Establish and maintain a risk mitigating/corrective action plan database for UBA Cameroon
  • Tracking and Reporting of Unresolved Risk Mitigating Action Plan

 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Proper classification of losses and loss events as per Basel II Accord specifications
  • Proper classification of losses and loss events as per Basel II Accord specifications

 

  • Analysis and maintenance of BEICFs database from such sources as Audit exceptions, System Downtime report, Disciplinary Committee

 

  • Identification of relevant External loss events for inclusion in the loss database

 

  • Monitoring and Reporting on emerging risks and high-risk exposures from the losses and loss events, Investigation /Audit/Legal/Customer Service/Disciplinary Committee reports

 

  • Identify emerging/key risks from loss database based on frequency, impact and control environment and proffering controls/mitigants to be put in place to forestall recurrence of Operational Losses in the Bank

 

  • Reconciliation/validation of the Loss Data

 

  • Follow up with stakeholders on implementation of risk mitigating action plans

 

  • Timely escalation of Unresolved Risk Mitigating Action Plans to responsible persons

 

  • Monitor and report on the implementation of risk mitigation action plan for UBA Cameroon

 

  • Conduct trend analysis on changing risk profiles to fairly accurately determine the behavior of Key Risks

 

 

Key Performance Indicator

  • Weekly, monthly and quarterly loss reports to Risk Management Committee of the Board and other Stakeholders
  • Weekly/Monthly report on risk exposures with high frequency and high impact and control gaps arising from responses to CSA questionnaire administered
  • Weekly report to Head, Operational Risk Management on the status of administering CSAs/KRIs in line with work plan

 

  • Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Tracking and Reporting of Unresolved Control Risk Mitigating Action plans highlighting the potential risk exposures to the Bank for non-implementation
