ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR THE U.S. EMBASSY IN YAOUNDE

Architectural services for the design of a safe Carpentry – welding workshop (estimated project cost between 15,200,000 xaf and 60,800,000 xaf) for the U.S. Embassy in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

Only established design Firms with American certifications in A&E are expected to respond to this announcement on or before the closing date. Selection will be done using the following evaluation criteria in descending order of importance:

  • Relevant, professional qualifications of the firm in the type of work required for projects having a construction value of at least 24,320,000 fcfa in the past three years;
  • Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required:

The contractor must be ready to show experience in multiple-discipline design projects like; Architectural, electrical, telecommunications, Fire & Life Safety, Mechanical and Plumbing.

  • Demonstrated success on similar projects in terms of quality of work and compliance with performance schedules, cost/schedule controls and program/project management techniques. Briefly describe internal quality assurance and cost control procedures and indicate effectiveness by listing budget/estimated construction cost, award amount, final design estimate and construction changes for five recent projects.  Although previous or ongoing performance of a similar U.S. Government contract is not required for firms responding to this solicitation, if such contracts have been performed, the offeror must have performed at a satisfactory level;
  • Personnel capacity to accomplish the work in the required time. Must show a list of engineers in the various design disciplines listed.

  • Work plan. Must show the chronology of work and the input of the different human and material resources.
  • Proof of having good knowledge of the locality of the project and international building code and American building standards

The Embassy will select for negotiation the licensed firm that demonstrates the best qualifications.
